How We Approach Every Stain

We check what the stain is, how old it is, and the fiber type – because the right treatment depends on all three.

Pre-Treat
We apply the matching agent – an oxidizer, enzyme, or solvent – to break the stain's bond with the fiber.

Agitate & Dwell
We gently work the solution in and let it dwell, giving it time to lift color and residue from deep in the pile.

Extract & Rinse
Hot water extraction flushes the stain and any leftover product out, so nothing is left behind to wick back up.

Common Stains & How We Clean Them

Protein / Pet

Pet Urine

Urine turns alkaline and crystalizes as it dries, locking in odor and yellowing. We break it down at the source with an enzyme-and-peroxide treatment (USOR Unchained), reaching into the padding so the smell does not return.

Tannin

Red Wine

Wine is a tannin stain that dyes the fiber fast. We lift the color with an oxygen-based oxidizer (Pure O2 OSR) rather than scrubbing it deeper, then flush the area clean.

Tannin

Coffee & Tea

Coffee and tea leave a stubborn brown tannin ring that many DIY cleaners only fade. Our oxygen brightener pulls the color out completely, and a fiber rinse stops it wicking back.

Protein

Blood

Blood is a protein stain that sets hard with heat, so we treat it with cool enzyme-based solutions that dissolve the protein instead of cooking it into the fiber.

Oil-Based

Grease & Oil

Cooking oil, butter, and body oils repel water, so plain steam will not shift them. We use a solvent-based degreaser to release the oil, then hot water extraction to rinse it away.

Dye / Solvent

Ink & Marker

Ink is a concentrated dye that spreads if handled wrong. We work from the outside in with the correct solvent, blotting and re-treating in stages to keep it from feathering.

Mixed

Food & Sauce

Food spills often combine oil, protein, and dye all at once. We layer treatments – degreaser, enzyme, and oxidizer as needed – to cover every component of the mess.

Particulate

Mud & Dirt

Dried mud is best removed, not rubbed. We loosen and vacuum the dry soil first, then pre-spray and extract the remaining stain so it does not grind deeper into the pile.

Oil / Dye

Cosmetics & Makeup

Lipstick, foundation, and mascara mix waxes, oils, and pigment. We break the oily base with a solvent, then lift the remaining pigment with an oxidizer for a clean finish.

Protein

Vomit

Vomit is acidic and protein-heavy, and it can discolor fibers quickly. We neutralize and digest it with an enzyme treatment, then deodorize and rinse so no stain or smell lingers.

Can you remove old, set-in stains or only fresh ones?

We treat both. Fresh spills are the easiest, but many old, set-in stains still respond well to the right combination of oxidizers, enzymes, and hot water extraction. We inspect each spot first and tell you honestly what to expect before we begin.

Are some carpet stains permanent?

A few are. Bleach, some dyes, and certain acidic spills can permanently alter the carpet's own color, which no cleaner can restore. For the vast majority of everyday stains – food, drink, pet accidents, grease, and mud – we can remove or dramatically reduce them.

Do you match the treatment to the type of stain?

Yes. Different stains need different chemistry. We use oxygen-based oxidizers for tannin stains like coffee and wine, enzyme and peroxide treatments for protein and pet messes, and solvents for grease and ink, then flush the area with a fiber rinse so no residue is left behind.

Are your stain treatments safe for kids and pets?

Yes. Our products are non-toxic, biodegradable, and safe for children and pets once dry. We rinse the treated area thoroughly so no sticky residue is left to attract new soil.

Can you treat stains on area rugs and upholstery too?
